When our AC system started running inalways and creating hot patches in several rooms, my hubby said that he’d take a look at the unit! He’s a entirely handy person, so I trusted that he’d be able to find something wrong and then repair it! Although I trusted him, I still like to do my own research to see what other homeowners say about similar concerns.
My hubby finds it aggravating when I do this because a lot of the time I end up going down a rabbit hole filled with negative or misleading information… This time though, I just wanted to see what I could find, but when my hubby told me that he needed to top off the refrigerant levels, my ears perked up and my alarm bells began ringing. I had learn on an Heating, Ventilation & A/C business’s website that filling refrigerant was unnecessary and never the option for fixing an AC system. My hubby thought what I’d learn was wrong, but I assured him that the information was factual. I was so convinced about what I believed that I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C corporation on the spot and asked them. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C corporation backed me up and told me that the refrigerant should never need replacing unless there was an obvious leak. In that situation, an Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was needed to patch it. When my hubby heard this, he agreed to hire an Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional to come repair our AC system to repair the hot patches because he didn’t know what was causing it.
