There is a transition team here from corporate after the entire management team here was fired
It’s just so interesting how groups of people can function together. Those dynamics are particularly fascinating when it comes to colleagues. Where I work, I have about 70 other folks working with me. Prior to just weeks ago, we were an unhappy bunch working in poor quality heating and air. But really, it wasn’t the heating and cooling comfort that was the real problem. The poor commercial HVAC conditions were just a symptom of an overall disease. That disease was the disease of very poor management on the local level. When I joined this company straight out of college, I felt like I was a part of something. And that feeling lasted for quite some time. But the last six years have been a downward spiral which started slowly only to gather speed and end up with the last several years being pretty awful. I’m still sort of surprised I stuck around for all of it. Besides the commercial HVAC that was never updated or even properly maintained, the morale and direction of our office just slid into the mud. That’s what happens when there is management in place who simply try to bluff and bluster their way along. Eventually, that will catch up to everyone. And that’s what we are experiencing now. There is a transition team here from corporate after the entire management team here was fired. Within the first week, the company had the HVAC company out to update or commercial HVAC. We now have zone controlled HVAC and it’s wonderful But we also now have hope, positivity and a growing morale that I sure have missed.
