No church this weekend due to A/C

Last Sunday in church, I was sweating profusely.

Thankfully, I could see other people around me sweating as well.

I was starting to feel like I should be nervous. You know what they say about people that sweat in church. Halfway through the AC, the preacher told everyone that the air conditioner did not seem to be working very well, but they were trying to fix the problem. I assumed that problem would be fixed before the Wednesday service, but the air conditioning was still inoperable. Everyone was miserable and most people were trying to fan themselves with a piece of paper or book. Apparently, the problem with the AC is severe, because church services were canceled for this Sunday. Everyone received an email from the church group and the services are canceled due to a problem with the AC. Since I work for a heating and cooling company, my wife wants me to go to the church and offer my services at no cost. I told my wife that a church HVAC system is much different and larger than a residential machine. I doubt I would be able to offer any help, and I am sure that the church officials have called a reputable, commercial HVAC company to look into the problem. I know my wife doesn’t like to miss Sunday services, but this week we’re going to read scriptures in the park and have a picnic. We haven’t had a Sunday afternoon together in years. My wife usually stays late at the church to help with paperwork and accounting. I think it will be a nice change.
