If you have ever been on a bad date, you know they seem to last forever.
In most cases, it’s because the date himself is bad.
A few weeks ago I went on a date with a guy I met online. He asked if I would meet him at a local Italian restaurant. I was excited for the day and when we got to the restaurant, everything seemed to be normal. We talked and really hit it off. He ordered spaghetti and I joked that it was the most boring dish you could get to the restaurant, I ordered a salad and eggplant parmesan. They brought our food out and it was very warm. By the time we were ready to eat the air had kicked on above us. We were instantly cold and asked the waitress if she could close the vent or turn it off. She was happy to do it but came back a few minutes later to explain that the air system wasn’t turning off. We got extremely cold and our warm pasta quickly turned cold. Nobody likes cold spaghetti and we soon realized that our date that was going so well was turning into a nightmare. The restaurant owner called the HVAC technician and they sent someone out to work on it. They arrived while we were waiting on our bill. We could hear him working on the system and the unit kept shutting off and on. Eventually, the air turned slightly warmer but still cool and was more comfortable. The waitress gave us our meal for free and we decide to tip the HVAC technician on the way out for a job well done. Hopefully, nobody else had cold spaghetti that night. We go on our fourth date next week.
