One of the sizable icicles fell from our gutter the other night & it crashed right into our A/C component out behind the garage.
This was something that I never even thought about before.
I never had even thought of the possibility happening before! I know there was consistently a possibility that it might happen, since the air conditioning component is situated behind the garage right underneath the eaves. The gutters occasionally get overly full of water & then while both of us were in the Wintertide both of us get lots of long icicles back there. I know this particular time, the icicle got bigger than both of us thought it would & then one day, it just broke off & crashed! Unfortunately for us, it ended up crashing into the air conditioning component & it absolutely did a whole lot of injure. The icicle bent the fan blades on the inside of the air conditioning component all to pieces. I couldn’t think it when I first saw it. I could not think how much injure the icicle did. It genuinely looked appreciate someone took a baseball bat to the A/C component instead! I know when the weather starts heating up in the Spring, both of us are going to have to do some extreme maintenance work, but actually, I think that both of us will truly end up having to upgrade the whole thing. That’s one thing that both of us will need to save up some currency for while both of us were in the rest of the winter! I will genuinely have the Heating & A/C supplier install the new A/C component someplace else next time!
