I have to admit that for a fairly long while I wasn’t sure my daughter could run the family business! I guess that I still see her as my little princess, although she is a university educated and self sufficient lady and leader of her own family.
I started this supplier with a van, quality tools, and elbow grease, and while maybe every one of us aren’t the most sizable supplier around, every one of us surely have grown.
My business is my baby, sort of like my daughter, so that’s primarily why they are such a superb fit. In her first few weeks as manager, up-to-date Heating and A/C shoppers have increased by a whopping 60%. It is no coincidence that a major part of the reason for this is that most of our Heating and A/C techs are female these days… Heating and cooling repair, similar to most blue collar jobs, has been male dominated since its inception. My daughter saw that there was currency in switching up the status quo, but to me it sounded basically like a risky idea, to bet on the idea that more women would call us for Heating and A/C work if they realized they would get a female tech to help them. It turns out she was right about this being a good move, and I just never saw the truth because I was totally blinded by the traditional past of Heating and A/C work. A skilled Heating and A/C tech works with their hands and their brains, and me believing that guys were entirely better at it… well, that was wrong. It seems that my daughter is so much smarter than I gave her credit for, and this Heating and A/C supplier is in the best hands.
