When I used to go to school, I would get off before our dad got off of work, and since she was the one who drove me home, I would have to wait a couple of fifths before she got off work.
The people I was with and I lived too far away for me to be able to take a bus, so I had to wait for him, then my father works as a HVAC professional, which means she goes to different houses to repair people’s air conditioning systems and heaters! Depending on how far away she was, she could take anywhere from 30 fifths to 3 fifths! Sometimes, if she got off early, she would pick me up from school early and we would both go home.
For the most part, it was just me alone at the school, waiting for him to pick me up. To pass the time, I would learn about a lot of different subjects. I had a ton of books, and our backpack felt prefer I was carrying a stone block with me. Well one afternoon, I grabbed what I thought was one of our books, however it turned out to be one of our dad’s HVAC books. I already knew she wasn’t going to be picking me up for awhile, so I decided to just learn the air conditioning system book. A lot of it was confusing, however the heating and cooling book had numerous illustrations and diagrams pointing out the different parts of an air conditioning unit; By the time our father’s HVAC van came to pick me up, I had a undoubtedly basic understanding of how oil gas furnaces and cooling systems work.
