I’ve regularly been genuinely sensitive to aroma, and people tend to joke & call myself and others the bloodhound because I can even track the source of aromas, especially if the aromas are bad, then i have regularly considered it to be a curse because it’s never pleasant for me, unless I am aromaing things that happen to be nice like flowers.
I already believe the people who I love visiting & who I don’t based upon the aromas in their homes… For example, I can tell if people have air purification systems because I can genuinely aroma how disinfect the modern home is & how nice the air quality is.
I was genuinely surprised the other day when I went to visit my sibling, but he usually has nice air quality & keeps a disinfect house, however I aromaed something bad when I was there visiting. He didn’t aroma anything but to me, it aromaed like a dead pet. I followed the scent & it took myself and others to one of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C vents. I instantaneously felt sick & told him there was something in there that entirely died, but when he looked into the Heating, Ventilation & A/C vent, it was a dead rat! He ended up calling an exterminator maintenance who evaluated the rest of the HVAC duct for any rodents, & he managed to find a few others, my sibling thanked myself and others for finding this issue before it became a complete infestation. I was excited to help, but it entirely makes myself and others guess sick just thinking about it, this is why people should regularly have their HVAC duct systems cleaned out by the professionals.
