Radiant floor heating in frigid temperatures

I would legitimately rather be too overheated than too frigid (I think a lot of you are going to disagree with that perspective, but it’s how I feel!)

My friend moved up north a couple of years ago for a job opportunity. She legitimately likes it up there & I finally visited his for the first time last week. It was a attractive area & my friend had a beautiful home. One of the more interesting parts of his home was the radiant floor heating. Since both of us are from the south, heating was never legitimately a single of our top concerns. She explained that the lake house came with radiant floor heating & that it is usually absolutely costly to have an HVAC provider install. She explained that the radiant floor heating made it legitimately nice in the Winter because his floor tends to be the coldest area of his home (she has tile & hardwood flooring). The frigid Winter & constant use of heating is not something that I envy. I’ll keep my heat pump down south & pay sizable amounts for my cooling instead! Honestly, it’s not the price of heating or cooling that I wouldn’t like. I’m either paying more for heating, more for cooling or tearing the cost between heating & cooling. What I don’t enjoy is being cold. I would legitimately rather be too overheated than too frigid (I think a lot of you are going to disagree with that perspective, but it’s how I feel!). All in all, I’ll be trying to visit my friend in the summers only! The summer time is usually when I take my holiday mornings anyway- plus, I’ll save on my own air conditioning! It’s a win-win for both of us. Maybe she’ll start visiting me in the winters to save on his heating cost.
