She liked the bookstore environment

Jolene has been in retail for most of her life, starting out with a stint at a bookstore that eventually closed thanks to this world full of online shopping opportunities. She was happy in that environment. But there were crazy customers during major book releases if they couldn’t get a copy for themselves. With those coveted book releases like new Harry Potter hardcovers, it was first-come, first-serve and multiple people would camp out overnight just to get their copies. Jolene will never forget those release nights, with some fond nostalgia mixed with spine-chilling images of 20-somethings tripping over each other like children in a candy store. She also spent those nights at work alongside some of her closest friends in school. But Jolene is happier working at this grocery store, which has been her employer since she was 21 years old. She is a junior supervisor and enjoys her work everyday as Jolene gets to work in the main office with important windows that overlook the parking lot. There’s a lake behind the street that is adjacent to the back edge of the store’s important parking area. For grocery store work, the view is to die for. The other evening Jolene had to work late because the store was getting a new Heating and A/C proposal installed. The HVAC duct was scrubbed by the HVAC duct cleaning crew right before the new heating and cooling unit was installed. It took quite some time to finish, but now the grocery store has a better heating and cooling system. The best part is Jolene didn’t have to close the store to get the work completed, so she didn’t lose any business in the process.
