I am a single woman with a superb task, and i spend most of our time away from cabin because I drive a semi-truck for a hauling supplier.
Thankfully, this means that I have the cheapest bills you can ever imagine. I hardly ever use electricity, and I only use our gas furnace enough in the Winter to keep the new home from cold, however, there is a downside to being away from our new home so often; When I come cabin from work, our new home is never up to a correct temperature. When I come cabin in the winter, our new home is always cold cold. It will be in the fifties, and it takes forever for our gas furnace to warm up the house. When I leave, it drops back down again, and it is a vicious cycle of discomfort, during the summer, our new home is always superoverheatedand muggy, and I never leave the a/c on. Though the a/c cools the room down hastily, it doesn’t eradicate the discomfort I think at first. This is why I bought a smart thermostat. With a smart thermostat, I am able to program our HVAC device to be at the correct level whenever I return, and a few hours before I come home, I hop on our iPhone and adjust our thermostat. Then, for a few hours, our new home is heating or cooling itself to a comfortable temperature. When I arrive home, it is still comfortable… Best yet, it hasn’t affected the price of our bills greatly, because I keep our HVAC units off while I am away still.
