At least there is a oil furnace there.
Our new home is really old, which is superb in some major ways in addition to terrible in others, but first let’s talk about all the superb stuff that the both of us have here. It is over 200 years old, in addition to most of the wood is still completely original, so the craftsmanship is out of this world. Some rooms just are filled with history to me, in addition to that is something a current duplex can never offer. We even have an amazing porch along two sides of the house, a massive yard, a massive pitched attic in addition to an even larger basement, with more room than both of us will ever potentially need. Now the terrible parts — the arena is so seasoned it never had a central Heating and Air Conditioning system in place, nor is it prepared to have a single installed anytime soon. The problem is the infrastructure, because there are no air vents in the house. Well, to be correct about this – there is a single air vent for the whole house, the a single that leads from the old oil furnace in the basement to the main sitting room. I guess back in the day they could have one absolutely nice hot room, in addition to the rest had to get by without heating, I don’t know what they were doing. At least there is a oil furnace there. The air conditioning, on the other hand, may be a complete miss for an arena such as this. Aside from using a portable or window mounted A/C unit, there certainly is no way for the new home to support a cooling system. So that will ultimately mean that a single room will be nice in addition to cool, just the same as with the seasoned oil furnace.
