I had an unpleasant experience today.
A woman called our heating and cooling supplier to complain that her cooling system was underperforming and not properly cooling her home.
She insisted that it was OUR fault because my friend and I installed the heating device, which was faulty and defective. She had a wonderful ten minutes of ranting on the computer before my coworker pulled the device from her ear and gave me a strange look. Although I was across the room and couldn’t make out what she was saying, I was able to hear her yelling over the computer. I had to make the trip there after losing a game of rock-paper-scissors to figure out what was wrong. The woman’s face was tomato red when I arrived, and I could almost see steam coming from her ears. I nearly gasped when she showed me the air conditioning system unit. The fact that this heat and air conditioning system device was way too small for her house and appeared to be extremely outdated, as well as the fact that no cooling specialist in her right mind would install this type of a/c device in her home, made it obvious that she was lying. The woman complained nonstop about how she was going to speak to our manager, leave a 1-star review, and tell all her friends what a terrible supplier my friend and I had the entire time I was there. I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying exactly what I was thinking, so I just forced a fake smile onto my lips and sprinted out of there.
