The custom cherry table & chairs were from 1755

My Grandfather passed away about 10 years ago & my Mom was left with the job of going through all of his things.

My Grandfather didn’t have a will & my Mom was the only heir to a collection of junk! The house & the land were worth a good amount of money, but my Grandfather made it to fill every nook & cranny of the land with junk.

There were pieces of aged cars, aged advertising materials, furniture, & windows all over the 5 acre property. There were also a couple of barns & two large sheds, but both of the barns & one of the sheds was packed with the same type of junk; I offered to help my Mom, & he told me that he would split the proceeds from the sale of the junk if we found anything that was worth much. I figured we would find something in the shed or the barns that was worth a couple of bucks. I started off with the greatest of the outdoor sheds. It was packed with mostly furniture. There were a lot of odd tables & chairs; Everything was covered with dust. I noticed one custom cherry table & chairs that looked severely old. The cherry table & six chairs looked brand new, despite the fact that they were covered in 10 or 20 years worth of dust. I carefully removed the custom cherry table & chairs. My Mom & I took a couple of pictures & we found out that the pieces were from 1755. They had a value that was worth more than the house.
