The technician immediately called me and I talked to the customer on the phone
I love my job and I’m pretty good at it too. I repair and install AC equipment. I’ve been working in the industry for about 15 years. During that time, I have been with the same company. I started working here when I finished AC repair school. The guy gave me a chance when I didn’t know anything at all. A couple of years ago, I received the promotion and a pay raise. Now I’m in charge of the sales and equipment rental department. I have 15 guys that work in my department. One of the guys went to an AC repair appointment on Tuesday morning. The customer called us because she didn’t have any cool air in the house. My technician went to the appointment, evaluated the situation, and repaired the AC problem. Before completing the repair, the technician told our customer that the total for the bill was going to be $275. The customer agreed to pay the bill. After my technician was done with the repair, the customer refused to pay the $275 bill. She told my technician that she thought that was an estimate and there was no way that she was going to pay that amount of money when the repair was completed in less than an hour. The technician immediately called me and I talked to the customer on the phone. I calmly told the woman that we would no longer service her home if she did not pay the repair bill. She’s still refused, so I told my guy to leave the property. I’ll send her a bill in the mail, but she probably won’t pay it.
