I was really happy when my buddy got me a new UV air purifier.
It covered enough square feet to take care of my whole living room space.
He joked that my air quality was always awful and he was giving me the homeowner solution to take care of it. I thought it was cool when I saw the UV air purifier uses a HEPA filter. It pulls all kinds of debris out of the air and even gets things on the microscopic level like bacteria and dangerous pathogens. Of course, I kept this UV air purifier blasting for months upon months. I love that the air purifier also measures the air quality in my home, but I was wondering what was going on when the air quality was starting to become bad. When my buddy came over one day, he asked me if I ever changed the air filter, which I didn’t. I didn’t even know where to get air filters for this air purification machine. He showed me that I simply had to go on the manufacturer’s website and order the air filters that were designed for the make and model of the air purifier. I was shocked when I saw how costly these air filters were, but my buddy explained that if I wanted to continue to use the air purifier, I definitely had to keep up with the air filter changes. I thought about it and realized that I enjoyed it in my home when the air quality was very good, so I chose to buy another HEPA filter for my air purifier. Now I’m enjoying excellent air quality again, but I’m not looking forward to having to buy another expensive replacement again. I’m going to have to budget for these costly air filters.
