I finally got rid of the ancient oil furnace that used to be in my house, and I couldn’t be happier; I couldn’t have chosen a better time to replace the oil furnace if I wanted.
If I would have replaced my oil furnace before or after the remodeling of my house, I would have never gotten the opening to switch the furnace.
I would have had to install another oil furnace, and that would have been sad… After so many years of owning a oil furnace, I decided that I was ready to own a weird kind of furnace… The concern with the oil furnace was that it never heated my condo evenly, but forced-air oil heating systems have a tendency to heat your condo unevenly; You will notice that there are colder and warmer areas in your condo if you have a oil furnace. Also, oil heating systems are pretty loud, and they are luxurious, and however, I was remodeling my condo down to the studs, so I could get rid of my oil furnace and all of the vents and install a new furnace. I decided to purchase radiant heated flooring instead, with radiant heated flooring, all of the heat comes from below your floorboards. The heat is entirely even, and there aren’t any freezing spots. Also, this furnace is completely silent, and you wouldn’t even suppose that it was working. Your feet also stay entirely warm. The electricity bills are more luxurious, but it is worth it for the benefits. I am entirely excited to try out my new furnace! I won’t be able to try it out until next winter!
