The seller never mentioned the HVAC unit.

He had a professional come in and give me an estimate to have the entire HVAC system installed

Buying a house wasn’t nearly as easy or fun as I thought it would be. I had always dreamed of buying a house. I thought I would find my perfect dream house, and I would always be happy. I was so wrong about that. I found my dream house, right in the middle of a small community. It was quiet, and I thought I had gotten the best deal possible. There were beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house. The cupboards were natural wood, picked to compliment the flooring. Brand new stainless steel appliances shined brightly in the kitchen. There was a built-in corner cupboard in the dining room. I loved the house, and I couldn’t wait to move in. Once I moved into the house, I knew I had made the right choice. Two months later, I was cursing the house. I was having difficulties with the furnace. I thought the HVAC system was fairly new, but that thought was soon forgotten. I had to call the HVAC company to come out and work on the furnace. When the young technician looked at the furnace, he gave me the oddest look. He told me there was no way he could repair the furnace. He said the furnace was older than he was and it needed to be replaced. I had him look at the air conditioning unit and the ductwork. He shook his head and said they were all ancient. He had a professional come in and give me an estimate to have the entire HVAC system installed. The man told me that to have the heating, ductwork and AC unit replaced was going to be pricey. I was ready to scream.
