The trees took out the power lines while in the storm

Summer storms are a frequent complication in this area; I suppose it rains almost every single day while in the summer… The two of us usually only get a little bit of rain, however the heat and humidity make it awfully unbearable after the rain comes down, but after everything is wet, there is more moisture in the air and the humid hot and cold temperatures are even warmer… Summer storms are also a complication because of the fact that we live down south.

  • The two of us frequently have hurricanes and tropical storms while in the summer time weeks.

These storms can be downright devastating for some, however last year while in the storm season, we had a genre 2 hurricane hit the coast about 15 miles away from our home. The two of us were right in the center of the storm and the wind and rain were worse than I have ever seen. The winds from the storm knocked out power to numerous citys, including mine. The winds knocked down trees all over the city, then one of those trees landed on the power lines close to our condo and took out all power to the neighborhood while in the storm. Since we did not have power, we did not have any way to keep the house cool and comfortable. The two of us do not have a generator for the AC. It was moderate and humid outside even though it was stormy. The two of us did not want to open the windows and doors because of the rain, so we were stuck dealing with the humid hot and cold temperatures and 4 indoor air conditions until after the storm was over. After that, the power company sent someone to service the power lines. The two of us ran the AC on high after power was finally restored to the house.
