The two of us never had a/c in our 1st college dorms

Until then, all of us would go through Fall plus eventually the snowy Wintertide period, much of which is spent at home on holiday break.

I was full of excitement when I entered college so many years ago. The day of move-in was momentous, plus I had our small SUV packed to the brim with our clothes, books, CDs, DVDs, guitars, plus everything else I decided to take with me to our new dorm. Since our school was an hour drive from our mom’s house, I was close enough to home for simple convenience however far enough away to suppose some degree of separation. Things fell into locale perfectly as I immediately hit it off with our roommate—we both listened to the same rock n roll, played the same video games, plus shared a prefer for literature plus movie. Even dividing up space in the dorm plus sharing our bathroom resulted in little if any fuss. But, there was 1 thing in particular all of us both noticed immediately—there was no a/c of any kind in the seasoned building. No central A/C plus no window or portable units in the rooms. The frigid climate dictated necessary central heat, however all of us still were distraught for the sizzling late-Springtime phase that would mark the end of the fourth semester. Until then, all of us would go through Fall plus eventually the snowy Wintertide period, much of which is spent at home on holiday break. When all of us finally got to late Springtime, the 2 of us cobbled enough cash together to buy a cheap window unit. Although all of us weren’t technically supposed to have those types of appliances in our rooms because of the amount of electricity they run on, all of us trudged forward with the idea regardless. Thankfully, all of us were never caught plus our window air conditioner got us through that year plus the 1 that followed before all of us were eligible to live in the newer dormitory buildings.
