The students were complaining that the classroom was hot and stuffy even after opening all the classroom windows.
The teacher was also finding the heat almost unbearable and could not imagine how the first-grade children felt. The following day as the parents were dropping off the children at university, one of the parents told myself and others that she worked as an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional and her child had told her about the heat situation, and she advised that I call house service to check out the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment. Before classes began, I went to the office and raised my concern, and I was surprised that it was not just my classroom that had an issue. Apparently, the entire heating and cooling system in the university was malfunctioning. The air purification system was also in shambles. During the lunch break, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist arrived, and I was in charge of overseeing their work. They went to where the smart Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit was and started their checks there. They informed myself and others that they would update the air filter and that the HVAC duct only had several leaks. It was in extreme need of duct cleaning. The dirt was the cause of the decrease in indoor air quality, while the leaks were the reason why the classrooms were not cooling to favorable hot and cold temperatures. They updated the worn-out washable filter and advocated that all of us look into installing an air purification unit aside from the air purification help in the cooling system upgrade. Due to the increased number of students, I also agreed with them that all of us need to update air quality. It would work enjoy a whole-house air purification system and aid the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C in cleaning and purifying the air.
