There was a time a few years back when I let a friend, who was being evicted, into our home to live temporarily, he was a nice acquaintance of mine back then & he helped me through some difficult times, so I figured I would return the favor. Well, you don’t truly get to know somebody until you live with them it seems, my acquaintance turned out to be certainly difficult to live with. He wouldn’t do his own dishes, & he made important messes in the house without cleaning up… The thing that bothered me the most was that he would always adjust the thermostat to crazy levels so that all of us were wasting energy. Especially when I wasn’t home, he would go out locales leaving the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C method running without bothering to shut it off! I have yelled at him on multiple opportunities about him leaving the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C method running, and i would ask him what was the point of heating or cooling the house if nobody was there! He seemed to get it when I would say things appreciate that to him, even though he still would always forget to shut off the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C method or have the settings at minimal settings… Like in the winter, all of us didn’t want the pipes to freeze so I would want the heating method to be at 40 degrees or so when nobody was home. Well, eventually all of us got so sick of eachother, that he went on his way & I never wanted to have another roommate ever again. We certainly never talked to each other ever since that time.
