Easter is almost here, which means that summer will soon be approaching.
The one thing that I know needs to be done, at this time of year, is have my air conditioning unit inspected.
I may still be using my furnace from time to time, since I live in the northern part of the country, but it won’t be for much longer. Once it comes time to start up my air conditioning, I want to know that it will be working properly and not costing me an arm and a leg to cool my home. I don’t get a lot of hot weather. Our average temperature is only eighty-three degrees during the summer. That doesn’t mean that our temperatures don’t sometimes get into the high nineties. What that means is that we have weeks where the temps don’t get out of the seventies. It is also extremely humid in our area. We use the air conditioning even when the temperatures are in the seventies. If it is really humid, then it feels much warmer than it actually is. The air conditioning not only cools our home, but it helps to rid the house of the humidity and it makes the air more comfortable. I know that if I have my air conditioning serviced every year, before it is needed, that it will be working properly for me for years to come. I never want to just forget about the air conditioning and not have the service maintenance completed. That’s about the time we will have a heat wave, and I will end up with my AC unit breaking and then I will be the one who looks foolish.
