I had plans on getting our HVAC system tested before the Summer heat, although I never got around to it.
I was pretty good about keeping tabs on our HVAC system, however this year has been busy plus hard to manage.
I always thought about calling the HVAC business, however the mornings slipped by plus after that I was knee deep into the Summer season plus I decided to postpone. I didn’t want to have our HVAC system tested in the middle of the summertime when I knew I’d be turning on the gas furnace a few weeks later. It just didn’t make sense to me. I planned on waiting until our Fall HVAC tune up because it didn’t seem so far away plus I wasn’t experiencing any problems with our AC system. The moment I decided to wait, our AC system started acting funny. It sounded love our AC system was trying to turn on to produce cool air however then it would stop a few minutes later. Every time it did this, I felt myself cringe at the thought of skipping our last HVAC tune up. Before calling an HVAC professional though, I decided to try something else. I turned off our HVAC system completely plus I let it rest for 30 minutes. During this time, I replaced the batteries in the temperature control plus I made sure everything was programmed properly. When I turned the AC back on, I waited to hear the short cycling again however it never came. I suppose replacing the batteries on the temperature control plus shutting down our HVAC system did the trick! I do plan on asking a professional about it during our next HVAC tune up though.
