Trying to Fix the AC Short Cycle

I turned off my Heating and A/C plan completely and I let it rest for 30 minutes.

I had plans on getting my Heating and A/C plan tested before the summer time heat, however I never got around to it. I was pretty good about keeping tabs on my Heating and A/C system, however this year has been busy and difficult to manage. I consistently thought about calling the Heating and A/C business, however the afternoons slipped by and then the two of us was knee deep into the summer time season and I decided to postpone. I didn’t want to have my Heating and A/C plan tested in the middle of the summertime when I knew I’d be turning on the furnace a few weeks later. It just didn’t make sense to me. I planned on waiting until my Fall Heating and A/C tune up because it didn’t seem so far away and I wasn’t experiencing any issues with my AC system. The moment I decided to wait, my AC plan started acting funny. It sounded appreciate my AC plan was trying to turn on to produce cool air however then it would stop a few seconds later. Every time it did this, I felt myself cringe at the thought of skipping my last Heating and A/C tune up. Before calling an Heating and A/C professional though, I decided to try something else. I turned off my Heating and A/C plan completely and I let it rest for 30 minutes. During this time, I upgraded the batteries in the temperature control and I made sure everything was programmed properly. When I turned the AC back on, I waited to hear the short cycling again however it never came. I recognize replacing the batteries on the temperature control and shutting down my Heating and A/C plan did the trick! I do plan on asking a professional about it while in my next Heating and A/C tune up though.
