Once in a while I stop and think people wait until the last minute to make important decisions, but do my very best not to do that on a regular basis, since I think it’s important to make a list of positives & negatives & make a wise decision I won’t regret.
For example, last year I realized that I was going to need a new furnace system.
I thought I could actually make it through 1 more Winter with our outdated electric furnace, though; So I quickly began doing research to try & figure out what sort of new heating idea I would get. I fully understood that if I started before Winter, I’d have a wonderful 12 weeks or so to make a decision. I scoured for every review on Heating & Air Conditioning systems that I could get our hands on. I educated myself on gas furnaces, electric furnaces, high efficiency furnaces, heat pumps, on top of radiant heated flooring. I made a spreadsheet with all of the positives & negatives of each type of furnace, too. After about seven weeks or more in the early Spring, I went down to talk to my favorite Heating and Air Conditioning corporation to get their opinion, too, but well, it turns out that when I went down to talk to them in person at their heating & cooling showroom, they happened to have the genuinely high efficiency furnace that I had pulled the trigger right there on the sales floor! Not only that, but the price was cut in half since it was the model from the two years ago! Even though I didn’t reach the end of the 12 week timeframe that I went ahead and set for myself, I was feeling very, very blessed with the end result. I got a new, high efficiency furnace installed & ready to go weeks before the weather even starts cooling down.
