I finally got rid of the old furnace that used to be in my house, and I couldn’t be happier.
I couldn’t have chosen a better time to replace the furnace if I wanted. If I would have replaced my furnace before or after the remodeling of my house, I would have never gotten the chance to switch the heating system. I would have had to install another furnace, and that would have been sad. After so many years of owning a furnace, I decided that I was ready to own a different kind of heating system. The problem with the furnace was that it never heated my house evenly. Forced-air furnaces have a tendency to heat your house unevenly. You will notice that there are colder and warmer areas in your house if you have a furnace. Also, furnaces are pretty loud, and they are expensive. However, I was remodeling my house down to the studs, so I could get rid of my furnace and all of the vents and install a new heating system. I decided to purchase radiant heated flooring instead. With radiant heated flooring, all of the heat comes from below your floorboards. The heat is very even, and there aren’t any cold spots. Also, this heating system is completely silent, and you wouldn’t even know that it was working. Your feet also stay very warm. The electricity bills are more expensive, but it is worth it for the benefits. I am very excited to try out my new heating system! I won’t be able to try it out until next winter!
