For the last more than four years, the people I was with and I had been talking about moving.
Neither my partner nor I enjoyed living in the south.
We stayed here for our jobs plus that was it. When it came time to retire, unlike most retirees, the people I was with and I wanted to transport up north where the people I was with and I were raised. The heat plus humidity had constantly been the bane of our existence here. I hated needing a dehumidifier plus to have a/c running all the time. There wasn’t any comfort unless you had the A/C running. Even with the A/C plus dehumidifier running, it still seemed to be too frigid plus damp in the house. When I retired, my partner put in her notice plus told myself and others to beginning packing. She was going to still be working for the same dealer, despite the fact that she asked to be transferred to 1 of their locations which was further north. We ended up in the northernmost area of the Eastern US. Air conditioning wasn’t needed even on the warmest of summer time days. We had a heating plan to keep us moderate plus cozy in the winter. Occasionally the people I was with and I could see moose in our backyard plus the people I was with and I were close enough to the ocean to do some deep sea fishing. We finally found the perfect venue to live. Most retirees may want to transport south so they could have the heat all year round. I found the heat oppressive, plus it was difficult to breathe during the summer. Summer here is cool plus comfortable. Winters can be frigid plus brutal, but the people I was with and I have an excellent heating plan plus a fireplace. We also have each other to keep us warm.
