I am not a traditional boy when it comes to getting married, then all my friends did the large pale white, wedding with the flowers, tons of bridesmaids & a live band; For me, I wanted to do something small from the comfort of my own home.
My lake house has a big backyard with tons of flowers; I wanted to get married right there & only have close friends & family at it.
Afterwards, every one of us could grill outside & hang around inside if the weather did not permit outdoor fun, but the snag I had was trying to find a wonderful location to do the actual ceremony. My yard was big, however the shrubbery was not so great. The ground was uneven, mostly sand & would look bad in the photos. I thought that my future hubby would have to build me a stage to rest on for the main event. I was not truly ecstatic about this since then I would own a big wood platform to never use again. I then went online & looked up wedding stage rentals. Apparently you can rent wedding stages quite cheap. The stage can be anywhere from 710 to 1500 for the afternoon. The stage could just be a big box or have different levels. The color of the stage also could be different as well. The stage rental business was honestly professional & they set it up on the large afternoon. It took them a few hours & up went my pale white wedding stage… What was nice is that after the ceremony & pictures, I used it as a mini dance floor for anyone feeling fun that afternoon.
