Every single Summer we take a drive out west to visit our grandteenagers, however it usually takes us more than a few days! This time it took quite a bit longer because the air conditioner was not toiling in our car, but when the wifey and I set out, the air conditioner was toiling fine, and however, only a few hours from home, it just started to get warmer and warmer in the car, and my dinner, we were covered in sweat when we stopped to eat. Thankfully, the diner we stopped at was air conditioned and the a/c worked just fine. The people I was with and I hoped that giving the car a cut would help the a/c to work again however it did not! Once we hit the road again we had to stop, after about an hour, at a truck stop for a few spray bottles in an attempt to stay cool. Finally, we decided to stop at a hotel a little earlier than correct so that we might find a hotel near a maintenance store. The people I was with and I were able to find an arena with our map app. We got my car dropped off and then walked to the hotel, about a block away. The hotel room was so cool and lovely. They even had the air conditioner turned down to 60 for us and we could not have been more grateful. The a/c was totally silent in the room too so we slept adore babies that night. The people I was with and I were not too disappointed that we would have to stay an extra day waiting for our car a/c to be fixed either. It provided us a choice to chill out in comfort, then knowing our car would be comfortable when driving through the desert the next day was well worth it as well.
