Who was meant to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company

Last week, our gas furnace broke.

My fiance tried to tell me that she had told me there was a problem with the gas furnace, although I knew she didn’t.

I told him that had she told me, I would have called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company right away. She told me that I should have called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company when she first told me and the two of us wouldn’t be separate from heating. This went back and forth for a full day, while the two of us sat in the freezing and wore our coats in the house. When the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company finally arrived, she asked our fiance what the problem was. She told him and they went down to the basement. An hour later, our fiance came back upstairs. Her head was low and she was looking at me, sheepishly. She apologized because she hadn’t told me about the problem with the gas furnace. She had been talking to her sibling on the telephone that night and they had been talking about the gas furnace. She said that when she had been telling the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repairman what she heard, it hit him that she had been talking to her sibling. She abruptly remembered the conversation. When she came to bed, I was already sleeping and she forgot to tell me the next day. I kissed him on the forehead and graciously accepted her apology. I told him I had a freebie coming next time I forgot to tell him something, and she couldn’t get irritated. I’m not sure she is ecstatic about that, because I don’t supply up or apologize as really as she did, although I will be nice about it.
