It has been 10 years since I have been in private school & time has not been great to a lot of my past friends! It is amazing to me how many of my old pals are overweight… They are not just pudgy as well, they are most likely experiencing health issues.
It is clear to me that almost all of the people I graduated with do not work out at all.
In fairness some of the people have children & are quite busy also with work, but I still make time to work out no matter what else I have going on! You need to make eating good & being physically active a priority. I can still wear my homecoming dress, cheerleading outfit & graduation cap and gown with no problem. If anything, I know I look better than I did at 16 years old. I used to go for 3 mile runs day to day in school. I also had cheerleading practice on top of that! Now at 26, I do a gymnastic based work out 5 times a week. The other 2 days I do a physical training class with a fitness expert at a body wellness center. I do weight lifting, cardio, yoga & stretching all in my hour long class, my whole body is athletic & fit. I am not simply thin, I am strong! Because I keep in good shape there are tons of things I am able to do. I can repair my home myself since I am able to squat, bend & turn for hours on end. I can go on hiking trips & kayak whenever I need to.
