Part of the reason every one of us got a bigger household was so that I could have a study, a room of my own. As the dad, my own personal space commonly gets lost. I have many daughters and a wife, so I had not had personal space to call my own in well over a decade. Finally I had a room, which would be my study, and partially my man cave, and all mine. Custom LED strip lighting around the baseboards to get started with, a giant plasma screen tv on the wall, a plush sofa and chair combo. I also had the desire to get a dedicated air conditioner device for the room, so I didn’t have to rely on the central HVAC device of the house. With multiple opinionated people in the household (meaning my wife and youngsters) I couldn’t risk them going crazy over the temperature control unit while I was locked away in my study. I mean, it was good for them to use the temperature control unit, however I didn’t want that to impede on my own private time. By acquiring this small, portable air conditioning device I don’t have to agonize about my comfort ever again. The thing is small enough to fit under the coffee table, and powerful enough for cooling down the entire room in a matter of hours. It’s not powerful enough for cooling off a whole household, however it doesn’t have to be — it fits my needs perfectly, and perhaps too perfectly. This is because I have found I need to put the little air conditioning device in the far corner, or it will make my legs too frosty.
