In the end, he used this aerosol cleaner that is made particularly for a/c and dehumidifier evaporator coils. It deodorizes and is antimicrobial. He left me the can to use on my a/c if I ever notice odors while it runs. I’ve done so much cleaning in the last few months that I worry I’ll run out of chores before this pandemic is over!
