You feel the North is hot

Growing up in the northern part of the country, I experienced a lot.

  • It’s a weird world up there, let me tell you… Plenty of people talk about the Midwest wind as well as snow, not to mention the sizable open skies.

What they don’t tell you about is all of the weather extremes that you will face in a given year. My associate and I didn’t only have terrible Winters, the Summers were god-awful as well. This is a fact that I entirely familiar before, however I feel living in the South has changed my opinion… You see you living up north, the air was properly warm all Summer long. It would get into the 76s as well as occasionally climb as high as the 90s. It definitely felt warm every afternoon as well as the sunshine was identifiably scourging when you didn’t have much tree cover. It also got quite humid, which was part of the Lake Michigan lake effects. In short, you ran your A/C All Summer Long. but, these afternoons I live in the Deep South. I can tell you, Summer is a whole other beast down here. It gets into the 90s basically every afternoon of the summer. The humidity never falls below 76%! Our nighttime temperatures are properly in the 76s, so you don’t even get a opportunity to cool down at night. The greatest problem, but, is how long this weather pattern last, however up north the heat of Summer usually was two or three months of misery. Down here it’s more like 6 to 8 months of continual hellish heat as well as stagnant air. That means you’re running your A/C device every single afternoon as well as night, just trying to keep yourself from overheating. It’s unlike anything I have ever experienced before. I know that I am tough from being raised in the midwest, however nothing prepared me for the heat, humidity, as well as stagnation of the South.
