Long before any of us around here had to worry about COVID, the people I was with and I had to worry about the forest fires. This whole corner of the state was savaged by wildfires for a number of months, plus it wreaked havoc with our environment. The vast majority of the fire took locale deep in logging country, well away from population centers, so there was not a major loss of life thank goodness. But all that fire dumped so much smoke into the air, plus that smokey smell spread out for hundreds of square miles. Smoke in the air isn’t just irritating to your esure, it can taint the air quality of your lake house plus irritate your lungs ,too, then prolonged exposure to heavy smoke is legitimately awful for all of us, so I always make sure our beach lake house Heating plus A/C system is optimized for air quality enhancement. To be honest, I don’t have a lot of call for a/c because this is a pretty temperate area of the country, although I still run our Heating plus A/C system all the time. I love to keep the air circulating through the air filters, to make sure that outdoor smoke smell stays outdoors. I use only the HEPA rated air filters, plus I change them every various months, even if they don’t need it. You can’t be cheap plus put your health at risk with subregular air filters.
