My girlfriend drives me crazy with the way she complains about winter.
- We get together once a month for a girl’s night and all she does is say how much she misses going to the beach and laying in the sun.
I have asked her on several occasions why she doesn’t relocate to a warmer region but she said she would miss her family too much. We all try to encourage her to make the best of the situation but it doesn’t seem to help. We got to talking about our Christmas wish lists the last time we were together and she said she would love a trip to somewhere warm. We took that as a hand and decided to contact her husband to let him know. He said he appreciated it because he never knew what to get her and always ended up buying her sweaters and other pieces of clothing to keep her warm. If you bought her a trip to a tropical island it may be a better way to give her a much-needed break from the cold. She would be surprised as well because he never did anything so extravagant for her. On Christmas morning when she opens airline tickets instead of a sweater I am sure she will be very surprised. I don’t think many people really enjoy the frigid temperatures of winter most of us deal with them a little bit better than she does. I for one am thankful that I have a quality furnace installed in my home and that I have a warm place to go to at the end of the day. I don’t need a tropical island or the sandy beaches to make me feel warm.
