When our husband and I first obtained our home, there was no access to temperature control in the family room, and our condo is harshly old and not equipped with conventional HVAC duct. A natural gas fireplace provides plenty of heat for the residing and living rooms. The upstairs family rooms are outfitted with ancient but effective Moore gas heaters. The family room was a large problem. With Winter weather that lasts around numerous months and temperatures well below frosty, the people I was with and I needed to figure out a way to constantly warm up the family room; For awhile, the people I was with and I ate supper with an electric space oil furnace sitting on the table. The two of us were forced to wear our Winter coats. The two of us then got the method to install a pellet stove in the family room. The stove took up a wonderful deal of space, didn’t look all that attractive and required constant work. The flame often went out and then the stove would blast frosty air and make the complication worse. With limited funds, the people I was with and I didn’t have a lot of options to choose from. I finally called a professional Heating and A/C contractor and asked for advice and an estimate, but he immediately proposed a ductless mini split. The mini split method is made up of an outdoor air compressor connected by way of a conduit to an indoor air handler. Installation required nothing more than a small hole in an exterior wall, mounting capabilities and access to electricity. The Heating and A/C contractor had our up-to-date method up and running within a few minutes. The ductless method is a heat pump, which means that it provides both heating and cooling capacity. Although the unit is super compact, it easily handles the temperature demands of the family room and maintains ideal comfort.
