Heater maintenance before putting a house up for sale

My elderly neighbor was planning to move in with her son and they wanted to have a garage sale because she would not be needing most of the things in the house.

I helped them organize the garage sale and also called an HVAC professional for heater maintenance since they also wanted to put the house up for sale and making sure that the heating equipment was in good condition was paramount.

The house had an electric heating system which I knew was in good condition since the lady and her late husband took pride in their home and always took very good care of it. When the heating technician did the inspection and maintenance, he confirmed what I knew. He said that the electric heater was in very good condition and it would certainly be a positive attribute when selling the house. The elderly couple had the electric heat pump installed eleven years ago. It was actually the son who made it happen because the steam boiler was not as efficient as it used to be. The son had to take up three jobs so that he could afford the heat pump install. Over the years things became easier for him and he was able to take better care of them. Some years back he had contacted several HVAC products for sale he had seen online and he wanted to know if buying an air purifier with a HEPA filter was worth it and he also wanted some energy-saving tips. I contacted an HVAC serviceman who had installed the wireless thermostat in my house and he agreed that it was a good purchase for the old couple.
