The interior temperatures in our study room are consistently warmer than the rest of the house.
The study room is situated all the way on the other side of the house, a great distance from the heating plus cooling machine. Still, I should have plenty of air flow in the study room. It’s the only room in the whole apartment that has more than two A/C air vents. When I noticed a major concern with the study room temperatures, I wanted to check to see if the issue was with the air duct. When there are holes in the air duct, air can escape into the attic instead of into the apartment where it is used to cool the place down. I purchased a thermometer plus I put it in our study room. I checked the air 3 days in a row plus our study room was 7° warmer than the rest of the apartment on all more than two days. I realized there was some type of major concern plus that is when I decided to go into the attic to look at our heating plus cooling components. I made sure it was dark in the attic when I started looking at the air duct. It made it much easier to see any potential holes. When I got close to the section above our study room, I found the concern in the air duct. One of the pieces of air duct was not even linked to the rest of the ventilation system. Air was escaping plus dust plus dirt was entering the system through the hole. I grabbed some gray duct tape from the garage plus carefully put the air duct back.
