One of my favorite things to do is playing games. From the time I was old enough to know how to use the joystick, I was playing games with my dad. I used to tell him that when I got older, I was going to create new games that he and I could play. I was really good at being a gamer and it was nothing to have my brothers angry at me because I was a better gamer than they were. They said the only reason I won was because I was a girl and they didn’t want to make me cry. I laughed knowing that was just their way of feeling better about losing. When I got older, I used to love to watch my dad when he was working. Dad was an HVAC technician and he was excellent at what he did. I secretly thought how much fun it would be to work with him one day. I wanted to be the first female HVAC technician in our town. I wanted to open an HVAC company with my father and hire all girls, or at least mostly girls. I was telling dad about my dream one day and he smiled. He said that was a great dream and he would be proud to help me fulfill it. I knew that when I graduated, I was going to go to school for HVAC certification. I wanted to get all the training I could get that would teach me how to start a business. I wanted to own an HVAC company with my dad, by the time I was twenty-one. Until then, I was making money with my gaming programs, and just enjoying my final year in high school.
