I wish that I was an HVAC technician, and I know that sounds a little bit weird.
It’s not exactly the kind of thing that most kids dream about being most of the time. However, I have always been interested in things that are mechanical and I have always found furnaces and air conditioning systems to be very interesting for some reason. I guess that’s just the way that my brain is wired, though. Whenever I was a kid, I always liked to take stuff apart and put it back together. Whenever I graduated from high school and went to technical school, I thought about going to get my HVAC certification but then I ended up going through the car mechanics program instead. These days, I am working as a certified automotive technician and I like my job most of the time. However, once in a while I get sick of being stuck in the garage all day with the same guys and the same tools. That’s when I start wishing that maybe I had gotten my HVAC certification instead. At least if I had my HVAC certification, then I could go work as an HVAC technician and I could go see different places once in a while. At least when you are working on furnaces and air conditioning systems, you get to go inside of different clients’ houses and you get a change of scenery every now and then. Sometimes I think that I would like that better. I guess it’s probably too late to do that now, though!
