It takes about 4 hours to install a new HVAC unit as long as the ductwork is in good condition

About 5 years ago, I was renting a beautiful 2-bedroom condo in the city that I live in.

It was located in a gated community and the condo overlooked a serene pond surrounded with trees that always had ducks swimming in it. And best of all, it was on the top level of the building, so I didn’t have to worry about hearing noise above my head. I absolutely loved that condo especially because I could watch the gorgeous sunsets every day. It became my routine as I settled in for the evening. Anyway, everything was good with the condo except that the air conditioner needed to be replaced. It malfunctioned a lot and instead of purchasing a new unit, my landlord would send the HVAC technician to fix it. There was always something happening with that air conditioner. Well after about a year of living in the condo, my landlord finally purchased a new A/C unit and sent the technician to replace it. I decided to stay home from work that day, so the HVAC technician could get into the complex as well as have access to the apartment. When the technician arrived, we chatted for a bit, and he told me that the installation would take about 4 hours. I thought that was fast, as I was expecting it to take all day. Part of the reason that the installation only took 4 hours is because there was no need to replace my ductwork. The HVAC tech said that as long as my duct work was well-insulated and in great condition, the only thing that needed to be replaced was the air conditioning unit. And sure enough, he was done within 4 hours and the unit worked perfectly ever since that.
