I have to admit that for the longest time I wasn’t positive that our child could run the business. I believe that I still see her as just a little youngster, although she is a school educated and self adequate lady and leader of her own family. I started this company with only my van, some tools, and elbow grease. While maybe every one of us isn’t the greatest company in the world, every one of us surely have grown quite a bit. My company is definitely my baby, just like my child is, so that’s mostly why they are such a fantastic fit. In her first six weeks as manager, new Heating, Ventilation and A/C customers have increased by 55%. It is clearly no coincidence that part of the reason for this is that most of our Heating, Ventilation and A/C techs are female these days. Heating and cooling repair, like most blue collar work positions, has been male dominated since its inception. Our child was able to see that there was cash in easily changing the status quo. To me it sounded like a severely risky idea, to bet on the idea that more women would call us for Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment work if they knew they would get a female tech to help them. It turns out she was totally right, and I just never saw the truth because I was blinded by the traditional past of Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment work. A skilled Heating, Ventilation and A/C tech works with their hands and their brains, and me thinking men were naturally better at it… well, that was entirely wrong. It seems that our child is a great deal smarter than I gave her credit for, and this Heating, Ventilation and A/C company is in excellent hands.
