My parents have decided that they are going to be putting an addition onto their cabin when the Springtime comes this year.
They’ve been talking about it ever since they retired a couple of years ago, however they just never legitimately seemed to find the right time.
They’ve been busy traveling and spending time with our brother and sibling-in-law who live 3 states away. Then the whole pandemic thing happened. So I guess you could say that there hasn’t been a legitimately optimal time for them to put the addition on. Finally, though, they are going to be doing it this Springtime when the weather starts heating up. One of the things that they’ve been talking about lately is something called zone control heating and cooling. This is because they are supposed to start deciding whether or not they want to use their existing heating and cooling system for the addition or to put in a brand modern Heating and Air Conditioning system along with ventilation ducts for it. I guess they talked to their Heating and Air Conditioning contractor about it and he said that he thought that the extra square footage would just be way too much of a strain on their existing Heating and Air Conditioning system. He advocated putting in a modern one for the addition and installing zone control heating and cooling. I’m pretty sure that’s what they are going to end up doing, too. It’s all they’ve been talking about for the past 2 weeks. I hope they get the Heating and Air Conditioning stuff figured out soon so they can transfer onto the fun parts of remodeling.
