I’m not sure why, as a heating and air conditioning technician, some people will try and hide the fact that they neglect their heating and cooling components.
I can always tell when someone takes good care of the heating and air conditioning device.
Yet there are always some people that, despite their HVAC component looking horrible, tell me that they take good care of the heating and A/C system. I literally had one guy tell me he just changed the A/C filter a few days ago, and I literally pulled out a dirty air filter in front of him. He didn’t have anything to say after that. Lying has always bothered me, so it really bothers me when people look me in the eye and tell me that they for sure, take good care of the HVAC machine, and then finding out they don’t is really frustrating. Thankfully, I don’t get these people too often, and even when I do start getting a lot of them, I also get to see people that take great care of their central air conditioning system. The thing is, I don’t even mind if people don’t take care of their systems, I just don’t want them to lie to my face. Just be honest. I don’t mind if people tell me straight up they don’t maintain their HVAC unit, because I am here to fix that. The honest people are usually the ones who start taking care of their A/C machines after I tell them how important it is. It’s the ones that lie to me that say they take care of their systems, but they never do. On the bright side, they keep me busy fixing their issues.
