Should rich people be required to give more to help others who are having trouble keeping “food on the table and a roof over our heads”? I’m not sure about the roof part but a visit to a Walmart on a weekend night convinced myself and others that not too multiple people worry about getting a wondrous meal.
The U.S. government seems determined to throw currency at the problem by using safety net programs that have helped millions but have not solved the problem of poverty. So, there has to be a better way for awful people to have ample food and shelter and for rich people to find eternal salvation for their corrupt souls. That is a reference to The Bible verse Matthew 19:24 about rich people sneaking into heaven. The fantastic news is that a solution already exists for able-bodied folks. The wealthy among us should invest in companies that create good-paying jobs. Those people not so well-off should be willing to accept training and task hard at those jobs. These jobs need to offer immediate employment, a clear path to advancement, and a way to gain credit that opens up multiple more opportunities. One field that offers all 3 things is the Heating and A/C industry that is expected to grow in the coming years. It is not an easy path to walk, but a qualified Heating and A/C worker will gain way over any minimum wage. There are several apprenticeship programs where a man can gain as they learn and there is no limit as to where a good career in Heating and A/C can lead. Heating and A/C jobs range from office administrative duties to a very highly compensated salesperson. The Bible says that rich people cannot buy their way into God’s heaven. For the non-rich, employment in the Heating and A/C industry eliminates the worry about the most basic needs love food and shelter.
