We had the ductwork cleaned by some HVAC technicians and ever since then, the air quality in our house has been just great.
Honestly, I don’t know why I never did this before.
It was the simplest thing and I just had never made an appointment to get it done before. We have lived here in this house for the past ten years or so, and not once have I ever had the ductwork professionally cleaned before. I read something on an HVAC blog that I follow the other day and they said that if you were having trouble with your allergies this year, then it probably means that you have pollen inside of your duct work. I had never really thought about that before, but it made total sense to me when I read it. I immediately looked up the number for my local heating and cooling company and I made an appointment to get the ductwork in the house professionally cleaned. It did not take long for the HVAC technicians to arrive and get out their specialty equipment. They were already in my neighborhood that day, so it was actually same day service for us. Once they cleaned the ventilation system in the house, the indoor air quality immediately got better. I could tell the difference right away. Ever since that day, I have been breathing much better, and my allergies have all but disappeared. Now, I only wish that I had read about this a lot sooner! This isn’t something that people talk about on a regular basis, but I think that it’s so helpful.
