The various work environments I have found myself in over the years have varied at every level.
I did everything from hauling landscaping materials, being a grocery store currencyier, to administrative work in offices.
There was even a long stint working as an assistant cook at a nearby assisted living facility that I endured through high college. The family room was easily the worst when it came to indoor comfort. I expect family rooms to be hot, however they also need to efficiently ventilate a constant influx of sizzling steam, otherwise it turns into a sauna. I hated it, however it beat hauling bags of rocks and mulch for a landscaper in 100 degree heat. Right now I am working as an administrative assistant for an attorney’s office. You would know that this place would beat out all of the rest in comfort levels, however instead it makes the other places look adore sanctuaries by contrast. Every afternoon both of us have to wait an hour for the a/c to cycle enough where the warm humidity from the night before can clear out. He never runs the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system overnight, so this is certainly frustrating while in the sizzling Summer season. Then, 1 afternoon the A/C went out for good and both of us were suffering desperately in a sizzling and humid office. Eventually he turned on various fans, however all that did was move around warm air. It took various full weeks for our boss to order a current a/c for our office. When you consider the amount of currency he makes weekly, I could never wrap our head around him being so cheap.
