I was watering my plants one summer evening when I heard a frantic knock on my door.
- When I went to open the door, I found my neighbor’s little ten-year-old boy standing at my doorstep.
He said that his mother was pregnant and she needed fresh cool air but the air conditioning system had malfunctioned after making such unusual noise. Every one of my neighbors knew what I do as the biggest local business in the town. I dealt in heating and cooling equipment and I also handled most of the HVAC installation in most homes within the town. I grabbed my gear and followed the boy. When I got to the house, I assessed the electric heat pump then proceeded to carry out a heating and cooling service. The servicing session revealed that some of the quality heating and air cooling components were worn out and needed to be replaced. I had worked as an air conditioning expert for a couple of years and had worked on all types of units even the commercial air conditioning unit. My neighbor needed help with indoor comfort and that is why she had contacted me. They were using the old dial regulator that was not as effective so we upgraded to a digital thermostat from the cooling and heating business. My neighbor was now looking forward to the birth of her second child and she knew she would not be dealing with a lot of air conditioning repairs by the HVAC serviceman. My neighbor would now enjoy raising her infant once she gave birth a couple of weeks after. I was glad that I was present to assist in any way.
